HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

 

 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 

 

This is the health and safety policy of

 

Cotswold Colour Matters Ltd

 

As managing directors, we commit the company to a high standard of health and safety and will comply with all statutory duties on health and safety to ensure, as far as reasonably practical, the health, safety and welfare of all employees in the workplace.

 

 

This company will provide safe and healthy working conditions for it’s employees and other people working under its control and will ensure that the conduct of their work does not endanger employees of others or members of the public.

 

 

Sufficient time and resources will be allowed for health and safety and the company will;

 

·          Ensure each contract is fully risk assessed and all necessary health and safety implications are addressed prior to the commencement of the work. Either director is competent to complete this;

 

·          Ensure that each employee has a full set of HSE documentation. This will cover working at height, safe use of ladders, substances and all associated hazards;

 

·          Ensure that each employee has a fully maintained first aid kit in their vehicle;

 

·          Make available training for health and safety (process for identifying and meeting health and safety training needs);

 

·          Ensure that all employees are fully aware of on site safety procedures;

 

·          Ensure all employees wear protective clothing on site, this includes hard hats, high-vis vests and steel toe capped boots as and when required;                

 

·          Ensure all ladder, scaffolding and ‘at height’ risks are checked thoroughly before the start of each contract;

 

·          Maintain an accident book. This will be kept in the registered office of Cotswold Colour Matters. If an accident occurs, it must be reported to either director as soon as possible. This book will be reviewed every month;

 

·          Ensure that if there are any matters which need to be raised for any reason concerning health ad safety on site, then either director can be reached at any time, either in the office or on their mobile phones.

 

As managing directors, we will set a good personal example to others in complying with the duties laid upon us and will expect all employees for Cotswold Colour Matters Ltd to cooperate with the company in respect of this policy to ensure that it is carried out.

  • To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
  • To consult with our work employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
  • To provide and maintain safe plant equipment;
  • To ensure safe handling and use of substances;
  • To provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
  • To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
  • To prevent accidents and to prevent cases of work-related ill health;
  • To maintain safe and healthy working conditions; and
  • To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.
